Well, maybe not ever, more like to date. But it was indeed a spectacular weekend. San Francisco looks like a whole new place to me now. Ever notice how you can do something a bunch of times, when you do it with the right person, in the right time it seems like a whole new and wonderful thing. Kind of like seeing Disneyland as a parent rather than as the child. Well, let me say that San Francisco as a couple is so very different than as a single gal about town or as an employee or a student.
The weather was spectacular, clear blue skies and a slight nip in the air seemed to be there just for us! We went to an A's game (which we lost), road the BART (VERY cool!) and spent a good chunk of Saturday at the Wharf/Pier 30. Let me make sure you get this -- perfect weather, Ken by my side and WATER! Does not get much better. We were not in a hurry to get anywhere, and enjoyed all the little things.
The people watching was unreal -- only in San Fran do you get on an elevator in a regular hotel and ride with a man in black leather pants, a studded harness, no shirt, a biker jacket and a leather hat. I thought I would bust a gut when the elevator opened and there were 4 little girls (12 or so) on it and he walked on as if it were no big thing.
We even went to the Museum of Modern Art; being the cultured people we like to think of ourselves. At one point we both looked at each other and started laughing. Sometimes I just do not get it. Not sure which is worse, someone passing off a doodle pad as modern art, or us as a public for supporting it as such. The Picassos, Matisses and Lichtenstiens were some salvation, but I was glad Ken and I agreed on it for the most part.
Going back to my opening graph, I think it all was all that much better because I was with Ken. I did not do anything this weekend that I have not done before; but for some reason it all seemed to be the BEST ever!
