Busy Bees

Well, it appears that Sundays are going to be my main blogging day. And seeing as how it is Sunday, I am guessing it is time to type...

We just got back into town this afternoon from a wonderful visit with Janell and George in Seattle -- and Madison. We cannot forget little Madison.

Let me just tell you that aside from having a wonderful time making cards (Janell is a Stamping Up demonstrator, so we made some fun cards), going shopping at the outlets (because there are none of those in Vegas, ha-ha) and checking out Pike's Place and Public Market (where we were at the original Starbucks) one of the highlights of the trip was the weather. Yes, the weather.

While we have had triple digits here in Vegas for what seems like months (mostly because it has been), the weather in Seattle was in the 70s and down to the 50-60s at night! Wooo Hoo! I actually had to wear jeans and a sweater!

Janell and George spent a good deal of the trip trying to convince us to move there. After the delightful weather, fresh air and produce and beautiful surroundings, I would be lying if I did not say I/we felt a sense of temptation. But we are not going anywhere -- for a while. There are too many things and people holding us here in Vegas. But I have a feeling we will be making a return visit sooner than later.

Oh! I cannot forget to tell you about Voula's! We are Food Network junkies -- and there is a show on there hosted by Guy Fierie "Diners Drive-Ins and Dives. Well, Voula's was a cafe that had been featured on the show. I told Janell that we HAD to go there. So go there we did! The food was great -- George even had two sandwiches and I ate things I should not have eaten (bad diabetic, bad Amy). But it was awesome!

Ken and I had a wonderful time, but are still thrilled to be home. I am sure that Ken will be blogging about all the reasons he is happy to be home and what new itmes he has added to his arsenal.

In the meantime, I pose this question: Have you ever seen something on TV and just had to track it down? IF so, what was it and were you glad you did?

Sounds like a great trip. Did you take the camera this time or are we going to be picture-less again! :)

I owuld love to go to Seattle. I have never been there and hear it is beautiful. But while I love the rain I do not think I could handle it almost every single day. however my dream is to live in London so perhaps I could...if people in Seattle start speaking in British accents.

As for the TV question, I mostly hear songs on commercials or TV shows that I have to put on my iPod. Product wise, I would have to say the last thing I had to have that I saw on TV was a commercial for Red Lobster. After seeing all that lobster, I had to go and get me some even if it went against my New England soul.

I'm so glad you guys had some fun in Seattle!! Sounds like a place I'll just have to add to my must-see list.

I've tracked down things from TV, but I just can't think of a single example right now? I'll have to ponder that.
