WHAT!?!?

Can someone PLEASE explain to me how in the name of God's green earth Kevin Covias escaped being in the bottom three on American Idol last night? I mean I am having serious flashbacks to the election of 2004, when no one wanted Bush in office, and yet somehow, miraculously, he ended up our president for a second term! Don't get me wrong, the kid is cute and he can sing, sort of. But there is NO WAY he is an American Idol. This is worse than when the girl from Utah, Carmen (affectionately known as Goat Girl) made it to the final 4 a couple of years ago. Augh!

Now, if someone could also tell me what it is about this show that gets me this passionate, I would be appreciative. When they called Ace's name, I nearly threw something at the TV.

Come on people, voting for this stuff, apparently, counts. I think. Maybe.

I'll admit to voting for Kevin in the past, but didn't vote for him last night. I think he can sing, but not popstar sing. His is a very formal, classically trained singing. However, he now needs to go. I was personally surprised Kelly Pickler wasn't in the bottom three. She forgot the lyrics (from what I can tell), and it was a forgettable performance.

I think Ace needed to be in the bottom three. His performance was sub-par and seemed to be of the opinion that he could coast through the competition.

Anyway, you got me hooked on the damned show. Until next week

Ace wasn't his usual charismatic self but bottom three? I don't think so. Don't throw anything at me, but his looks will get him farther than his singing. This is of course, in addition to the rant we had about it this morning. :)

I totally agree! He really needed to go because he is not in the same catagory as the rest of them.
