Today is Ken's birthday. I mention this because it was only a year ago that we started talking via the internet. Actually, it was shortly before his birthday. I know this, because I distinctly remember his telling me in a letter shortly after his birthday that he had gone out celebrating. I was bummed not to have known it was a special day beforehand, not that I could have done anything, but because I guess I like to think I might have done something. Anyway, I digress. It was only a year ago, and now I get to celebrate his birthday this year, and all the rest to come!
Today is Ken's birthday, and I feel like I am the one getting the presents. He is such a gift. With every day I get to unwrap another layer of this man and learn more about the intricacies that make so wonderful -- a silly face, a wise word, a thoughtful action. Whatever it is, it is part of what makes him so special.

I remember that conversation as if it were yesterday. I remember telling people about you as we were going out and doing stuff. How I couldn't wait to meet you and how awesome you were. You are the best birthday present ever and we get to be together for the rest of our lives.
Okay, you two are adorable... but, really, I may throw up soon.
