Today was amazing. Ring shopping with Ken. Not so much the rings, though they are GORGEOUS!, but the fact that we are doing this. I think at this point, a soda can ring would be OK. But as long as we are looking, the bling is awfully purddy. I know you are all sick of me blogging about Ken and myself, but the fact is that it is a big portion of my life and he is what I am most involved with right now -- ring shopping, house shopping, wedding planning soon, and the list goes on. And, I am OK with that.
Matchmaking: Ken and I have a couple of sets of friends (couples with small children) that live in the same area. I work with Erik and his wife Kari and baby Kira are great additions to the friendship. Ken has a friend Rob, and his wife Erin and daughter Emma are great additions to that friendship. Well, they live very close to each other, and both are having problems with babysitters. Ken and I get them together with the 6 of them for dinner the other night in the hopes that they might click and at the very least play dates might occur for Emma and Kira. It appears to be a SUCCESS! They are all going out on Tuesday to the park. The best part is that I think that these two women, Erin and Kari, have the potential to become friends. I may be a little jealous that I do not get to play with them, but it was as good a matchmaking deal as I have ever done. Yay!

Ring shopping! Oooooo I loved that part. Now if I could just get my wedding ring on again... It's only just too snug, so I could probably get them sized, but it's the principle.
What a really wonderful thing you guys did. It is hard to find babysitters for some, we are so fortunate to have so much family here. Now if we'd just take advantage of it more. Wow, that's sounding like a new year resolution.
