Full

Just back from dinner with Ken, his folks and Teri and her hubby. It was an interesting group of people, with varied conversation. Teri's husband was, shhh, don't tell anyone, sociable and I enjoyed him being there. Actually, I was really glad he joined us. Not one for what could be described as potentially uncomfortable situations, he sucked it up and joined us. I was glad for that. Ken's mom was cool too. I am really starting to enjoy her. Not just as Ken's Mom, but as a sweet lady. She has spunk. Teri was, well, TERI! Cannot really ever go wrong with her and Ken was fun and playful, to an extent. Cannot really go wrong with him either. The person who impressed me most this night, though, was Ken's dad. He was actually vocal in conversation and I really feel like he is making an effort to be playful with me and develop some kind of rapport. I get the distinct feeling that this is not something that comes naturally, so it was nice.

I suppose I titled this "Full" because that is how I am feeling. My heart is full tonight. It just feels like things are nice and cohesive and my life is really a life in progress, not just "in the mean time..."Ken's folks and Lloyd's effort all just added to the smile on my face. Still moments of figuring things out with the folks and grinning and bearing Lloyd's "loving digs", but in general... I am FULL.

He does dig, doesn't he. B) But, I have to say that we both share that as a branch of our sense of humor. BTW, it looks like animals took over your first comment spot.
