Auto Pilot

Ever get somewhere and not know how the hell you got there. I mean, you aren't drunk, not drugged and awake for the most part. But your car and such are more on auto pilot. I cannot tell you how many times I have gotten home after a long day and really not remembered the drive home. I just know that, ahhh, at last I am home. Or how many times I am going one place, and ended up at my best friend's house or Ken's place instead. Sometimes it is purposeful, otherwise, just really happy happenstance.

Tonight, I was supposed to go shopping over near the center of town (Meadows Mall area) and instead, my car turned the wrong way and I was en route to Teri's. So I called her and voila, we were off to go spend time together. Yay!

That is all for tonight... just thinking about auto pilot and smiling cause my car knows to take me to happy places.

I have done that many times. I am not sure how it happens, but my car just seems to know the route. It happened yesterday when as you know I am taking a new way into work. I just started to turn on the 215 when I caught myself and made some illegal lane changes so I could drive my new faster way home. Apparently my car needs to get use to the new paths...

I am glad that your car had its own sense of what you needed, because even though I was tired I really enjoyed our shopping trip.

I do that once in awhile but it always takes me to food places that I know I shouldn't go to. Mexican food cravings.

So let me get this straight, Amy's car likes our house, Teri's car likes freeways, and Martin's car like Mexican food...

I hardly ever remember the drive home to or from work. It must be an autopilot thing... I spend those times thinking about all the things on my to-do lists. It's too bad my autopilot doesn't do something like drive me to the right place for a winning lottery ticket!
