I spent 8 hours today cleaning out a closet. A closet -- 8 hours! I am officially admitting that I am a pack rat. But I am also publicly announcing that I am a recovering pack rat. No more will I do this. I had no less than 4 white t-shirts with stains!!! Stains, I tell you, and I kept them anyway for who knows how many years. What makes us do this and Lora, my dear friend Lora... How do you stop!?

I just think to myself what a pain in the butt it is to continually clean around this stuff, and to have to someday pack this stuff up. Twice a year I hit each closet - if I haven't worn it through two seasons, it's gotta go! I ask "Will I really ever use this again?" If the answer is no, it goes! 8 hours is a long time - but hey, it's done! And you know that you never want to do it again. You're on your way! ;)
Loo, That was jsut the master bedroom... I still have to go tackle toe "office"! Wanna help?
Babe - I'm very proud of you. Ironically, there was an article in the United Airlines magazine today about how to avoid becoming a pack rat. We'll chat about it I'm sure.
please hold...
calling the people at clean sweep right now!
Me thinks you had a fine teacher and excellent source of examples.. and you learned very well.. maybe you would like to help those who have taught you to pack rat, how to change now that you have made such a committment.. a thought
I don't know if you want me to help - I have no emotional attachments to your things, you'd probably find nothing left when I was done! Karl won't even let me near the garage at this point.
Thanks for coming to my blog! I decided to check you out and I like yours!! What's the difference between the two you have on your profile? Both are great!
I have some major closet cleaning to do as well. And I'm NOT looking forward to it!!
