- Ken and I fell in love with a house and put money down on a fabulous lot last week. We will be living in a lovely community that puts me barely a mile from Teri! How cool is that!? We will also be living nearly a mile from Ken's folks. That is going to be interesting. But the best part of it all is that it is something Ken and I are doing to build our lives together, as a unit, a couple, a family.
- We went to LA last weekend as well. Ken asked both of my folks' for their blessings to marry me and grow old with me. I was touched and excited and even more in love with him than ever. No ring yet, but I have a house... I cannot complain!
- Work is crazed and getting ready to hit my busy season. NCQA and Medicaid and Medicare will all be to my company for audits and reviews within weeks of one another. ALL the materials are due to all three agencies on the same day and my boss has been in and out of the office for the past 3 months with family emergencies. Again, this is going to be interesting.
- We had out benefits fair at work today. For the first time in 9 years, I changed my beneficiaries and emergency contacts and "stuff" from my parents and Teri to Ken. I think it is just further evidence to me that I really am an adult and embarking on a new adventure in my life.
OK, I could go on, but I think this is a good place to start. I promise more regular updates and blogs. I have many a thought to share.
